Castiel is the angel of Thursday and of November (according to angels365.com, and that's like, gospel), and I was born in a Thursday in November.

Yes, it took me over a year to actually note this, but still. I think it's awesome.

I like Supernatural. I like being surprised at what happens. I don't want to read spoilers. This isn't like Smallville, where spoilers are my armor, without which I would be crushed to smithereens. Kripke and Co. don't make me want to jump off a cliff on a regular basis.

So someone want to explain to me why I just read the spoiler thread at TWoP? I think I need to stay away from anything having to do with SPN on the internet. Clearly, I cannot be trusted.

Why did Dean's eyes start bleeding in "Bloody Mary"? I mean, I guess it could be one of a million things, considering his dangerous life and penchant for guilt, but I'm intrigued.

1) I finished The Demon's Lexicon. Pretty freakin' awesome.

2) Angels are the new vampires. I swear.

3) Stupid Viking sent out a teaser to their winter ARCs, including Angelology (see above) which has so much buzz around it right now. I am listening to chapter one now. Pretty interesting. The author is reading it and you can hear her turn the pages. I'm amused.

Let me count the ways (in no particular order).

5.02- Good God, Y'All )

In completely other news, my printer just spat out a PDF from a class I took a year ago... A forty page journal article on Ataturk. Uh... Okay. I read this already, thank you.

Wow, it feels like a billion years since I've been on the internet. Chalk it up to housesitting at places with no wireless and weird home connectivity. But I am home now, and I am totally terrified to even look at my flist or TWoP. I hate playing catch up. What I have missed?

Summer, thus far, has been fun. I have worked a lot, read a lot, and written a lot. Good times. I've also watched a ridiculous amount of TV (on DVD), and now I'm kind of obsessed with The Tudors. A coworker and I watched almost the entire second season in one sitting.

Highlights from the books I read: The Devil You Know, by Mike Carey, was a really good paranormal thriller; I also really enjoyed Black Ships by Jo Graham, which I just finished this afternoon and will probably become my next staff favorite at work. I'm about fifty pages into Mistress of the Art of Death by Ariana Franklin and I really, really wish I hadn't looked at the reading group questions on her website, because I think I now know who the killer is. Boo. I'm also reading The Black Death by John Hatcher, which is really interesting; it's like a docudrama in book form.

Went to the midnight showing of Half-Blood Prince the other day, which was hectic due to ticket issues and not as much fun as it usually is. Some of "my" students from last semester were in line in front of me, which I found semi-hilarious. We did MadLibs in line and that was a lot of fun. As for the movie itself... I have mixed feelings, and definite feelings of total panic about my favorite part of Deathly Hallows, which I think they're going to cut out. Great casting though; Blaise and Lavender were perfect.

I'm not going to ComicCon this year. This makes me extremely angry, at myself mostly for procrastinating.

I just rewatched the Highlander episode "Archangel" (aka the episode where MacLeod kills Richie) for the first time since I was 13 years old. I sort of expected myself to be more sympathetic, more understanding, and less angry. Nope. Turns out, I still hate Duncan for it with the passion of a thousand suns. At least this time I didn't cry like a baby for like an hour, although I will admit to watery eyes.

Also, Methos? Freakin' hot. Like whoa. That is not an opinion that my 13 year old self shared, so maybe I really have grown up. Heh.
